Do you keep your tracks in MIDI or do you flatten to audio asap?

When I had a crappy laptop I’d bounce to audio immediately as it just couldn’t handle loads of samples (had like 1GB of Ram) It did make me good at writing and making decisions as I couldn’t easily go back and change little things

Yeah more freedom this way and you would treat samples differently than you would do with your midi notes
