i think TPAB grew to be admired by hip hop heads, but INITIALLY? nah fam, people were trashing TPAB like crazy on twitter. the memes were unprecedented. i think cole is just pointing out a moment in time and that now, in retrospect, people gas the album up because it truly is that damn good. it's a classy shot imo.
