Bodyweight training is way too underrated Let me tell you: My absolute biggest strength gains for compound moves were made when i was doing only bodyweight calisthenics for 3-4 months in my local fitness park. Only equipment was gymnastic rings. GymLifts went from: Bench 80kg -> 115kg Squat 100kg -> 160kg

that’s incredible! i’ve always adhered to the philosophy that strength is more so about control and fluidity than it is pure brawn. calisthenics is a great example of that. to be so strong that you can hold yourself up; that is true strength! (plus the gains for weightlifting are pretty fire too lmao)

Yeah i think what happened is that my body suddenly had to train a lot of stabilizing smaller musclegroups to stabilize the bodyweight lifts. My gym lifts afterwards felt much much more confident and cleaner as a result
