I remember learning Git around 2009 from Scott Chacon to replace Oakley's SVN setup. It has served me incredibly well ever since. I still can't believe there was a time when I used CVS and SVN.

I remember learning Git around 2009 from Scott Chacon to replace Oakley's SVN setup. It has served me incredibly well ever since. I still can't believe there was a time when I used CVS and SVN.

In my career, my source control usage has gone from:

* Windows fileshare (!!!)
* Proprietary source control
* Subversion
* Git
* Subversion
* TFVC (never again)
* Git

...and, thankfully, nothing has changed since that last bullet point.
