The GOAT computer game is back! No, it's not Doom, or Half-Life, or even the spectacular but now-lost Unreal: It's Descent, the 6-degrees-of-freedom shooter in which I will crush any teenager gamer. Descent is where I learned how to dodge a realistic homing missile with a seeker cone. (Hint: you have to charge it.) Descent is to Call of Duty what Asteroids is to Pac Man. If you've never played a 6-degree-of-freedom shooter, you aren't the hot-stuff gamer you imagine. The mod community brought it back a while ago, in Descent Overload, and I'm just now finding out. I will post a review tomorrow.
