Just last month, Sharath was in NYC leading a workshop. People came from around the world to practice yoga with him. He shared with us just how proud he was of his daughter for starting school this fall at NYU, and that he was going to come back to the US more often because of that. All the yoga students were stoked. I’m incredibly honored to have learned from him and devastated at the same time to learn that he just left this world at way too young an age. May he RIP, and sending love to his family. Fellow practitioners of Ashtanga worldwide, myself included, are mourning 🙏 https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/12/us/sharath-jois-dead-ashtanga.html

Condolences to Sharath's family and the Ashtanga community. His passing is a huge loss, but his legacy in yoga will live on.
