When Roblox IPO’d there were dozens of copycats that launched and none made it despite thousands of games created on them. It turns out players have a glut of options (over 20k games launching on Steam annually and 1M+ mobile games). Building games isn’t hard. Vibe coding games even less hard. Building good games is hard. A new “AI Roblox” platform will win only if they can crack the code on level & player progression, creativity, and monetization.
