Something I've been thinking about, what if ethereum had vote extensions - even if just specific purpose vote extensions. I see this as kind of an extension of pre-compiles, something that lots of people would use (i.e oracles). With vote extensions you can reach consensus on market prices. Would be interesting without single slot finality, but I believe it's possible.
