the thought started when @jessepollak announced wbtc was on @base. And now I've had time to build it.

Bitcoin on base is an onchain collection that transforms the Bitcoin whitepaper into collectible digital art on Base.

each piece has a word from the @bitcoin whitepaper, as well as a unique background and shape:

- word, color and shape is generated at mint
- all image data is stored in the image URI onchain
- meaning you will always be able to generate your image (no ipfs or s3 pointers)

how can you always get the image URI?

Using an explorer like @blockscout (link below) you can view the metadata for each token. Paste the image URI into a browser...

Blockscout is the most widely used full-featured open-source block explorer.

I appreciate @jessepollak and the @base team's efforts in growing the network and bringing serious volume.
