"Crypto is mid compared to AI" For sake of argument, round everything else to zero. (I don't believe that, personally.) In less than 16 years: 1. Created digital gold with $1.9 trillion in market cap 2. Created a Turing complete decentralized censorship-resitant global computer that is steadily scaling it's throughput with $400 billion market cap. AI has been around since the 1960s and gone through multiple boom / overhyped cycles. ChatGPT is 60 years of compounding.

just realized this would make a really interesting debate if people had it in good faith. I can see arguments that intelligence in absolute value is >>> economy, or rather it's upstream of it. I also think the points you make are true, and crypto is very fast in it's time to value. Cryptography, leading to cryptocurrencies, also started by Turing around the same time! Arguably also benefits from compounding advances there.

1. Both are good. 2. AI likely to have a “bigger” impact because it affects daily life and the rate of change (powering more discoveries, etc.) 3. Hard to write off Bitcoin if it replaces gold as the global fiat hedge, though. And then similarly Ethereum if the backbone of finance (will take longer, though).
