why hasn't anybody built onchain social graphs yet? the primitives are there but seems to be only used for chainalysis evil and nothing else

They have. Lens has done it, and farcaster is doing it in a sufficiently decentralized way. I don’t think the *goal* should be “decentralized” or “on chain”. That’s naive. There should threat models considered and an architecture that solves for them. That architecture could be “on chain”, or partially
