DAY 12 OF 30 VIBE CODING SOMETHING NEW EACH DAY OK, so today I was cruising @brenner.eth's 7daysofvibe.com site and was looking at the recommended tools and decided to try Lovable for the first time. Given that he describes Lovable as "particularly pretty designs" I wanted to see how it would take my previously boring/simple portfolio site (that I ripped off of Brenner) and give it a fresh new look. It nailed the assignment! Check it out. DC me if you're curious about the prompt I wrote to arrive at this design ;) https://preview--vibe-fusion-sandbox.lovable.app/

i haven't really used it long enough to form a strong opinion yet. it did seem to get to the initial render faster? and then the github integration seemed odd; like, just let me edit in the browser? but idk, maybe it's kinda cool that they do that and are sort of educating non devs to start using a separate IDE and realize "oh, this code is mine and I control it" which may be kinda cool. the added friction seemed misplaced though (I am not going to waste credits on text changes; I want to make those edits directly in the code). but again, i'm not sure yet. i need to use it a bit more to see.
