Lost things.

This probably won’t surprise anyone as most of my stories involve crypto, and this story involves lost ( inaccessible ) tokens. 😆

Years ago, I bought 1000 KNC tokens at around $0.65 a token on Coinbase and a short time later staked it in the KyberDao. After some time the KNC token began to appreciate in price and was trading between $3 - $4. 

At this point I decided to unstake all my KNC tokens and sent it to Coinbase to swap for USDC. Unstaking went smoothly, and I sent the tokens back to Coinbase. A day later when the tokens didn’t show up in my wallet I became alarmed and began trying to unravel this mystery. 🙁🙁🙁

To make a long story short, when I purchased the tokens on CB they were V1. While staking they were automatically converted to V2. When I sent the tokens back to CB , V2 tokens were not supported yet, only V1 ! 😅

Over a year later when CB began supporting V2 tokens , they showed up in my wallet. Opportunity lost as KNC was trading at about $1 again ! 🤷‍♂️
