Lmfao also, how come everyone is just acting like jobs magically left America. Corporations left America because they wanted to exploit the global south, nothing more. The real question should be how are we going to punish these corporations for doing this to America, and not punishing other countries for it

IF and big if. This disaster brings manufacturing back to coal America and rust belt. Etc. Many will win. Markets may not be one of them. Nor the Uber wealthy. Who are sooooo wealthy. (Especially since Covid) We gutted manufacturing. We traded jobs for opioids. Coastal elites didn’t care. Maybe that was a bad trade?

If it comes back to America( I don't see it doing it) it's going to be ass for the American worker. The only way you're going to get manufacturing back in America is rolling back labor and environmental regulations( probably under the guise of giving them back to the states) this will be a race to the bottom for sure. The reality is you'll be a robot mechanic or a child laboror and you will like it or you'll starve in some debtors prison

I wish it was more optimistic but I just don't see a way out of it as a win for American workers under this administration, like ai robot mechanic is from their own administration. This will just further serve to alienate the worker from the value of their labor https://x.com/Acyn/status/1907950972791566575
