i got these a few days ago after seeing this comment:

"You really don’t want noise-canceling while you are laying on your side.  The ear pod directly rubbing against the pillow causes wide-frequency noise which is interpreted as loud."

coming from an ex-Bose team that worked on their sleeping buds. they bought out the IP from Bose.
