It turns out that only 20 years ago the main element to build a page was <table>. How lucky we are now to have block elements and CSS. Did anybody already work at that time? Do you remember how it was? Do you think it will be something completely different in 20 years?

i started when websites were built with XML and then tables. the only thing i want is web apps getting first class treatment on mobile devices — we had a glimmer of hope with PWAs but it’s still not there yet
