possible causes: btrfs throwing a kernel panic. need to format my cache drive to xfs and see if that helps

ok looks very much like an SSD failure. i battered this thing into the ground with over half a petabyte of read/write. time to swap it out for a WD Red SSD

funny thing is everything was working perfectly fine for over 4 years!
