i don't want unlimited character count for casts but it would be great to extend it to 560 right now... sometimes you just gotta say a few more words or another sentence.

Or at least you could compose the cast as large as you want and the client magically will split it into a cast thread. That would be awesome.

Yes pretty please. Writing several casts is a nightmare right now. At least in the web client after you cast you get the snack bar offering you the option to view your new cast and continue from there. On the native app, you have to reload to see it, or even go back and forth to keep writing.
