There are people in my home feed that I used to see, that I never see anymore (yes, they still seem to be casting)

What happened?

@akshaan pulled some data to help dig into this. 

@samantha and @kazi it does appear that you are seeing most of july's casts unless we have a bug with the view tracking. 

@july it does appear that youre not seeing a lot of artnsarts casts, will dig into why

thank you for showing analyses, I also feeeel like I see @july less

my theory is that the more newer users i interact with, the more it bumps out older users like @july (since the algorithm prioritizes recent engagements) is this correct?

imo i think it prioritizes people who cast a lot (like @ted) vs someone who posts once in a few days like @july

i have that enabled for many people, including july

too much content in the feed that anyone who only casts 3x/week will be seen much less than anyone who casts 3x/day; that's just math

would recommend turning on super follow notif for people you love to see but don't always see their casts -> will notify you, then you engage, then it shows up more
