team immediate discard here - i storaged everything and moved to Thailand in '17, lived out of a suitcase for 3y until covid, came back and bought a house in US, trashed everything that was in storage there's a real and tangible mental cost to having clutter and junk, not to mention costs to store it, and time/stress to sort thru it. think about your worst junk pile - the closet or garage or a room with the most stuff that you never use. now just imagine that space totally empty, it instantly feels a thousand times better. now just go do it, don't sort stuff, don't move it to another room, you aren't gonna get around to whatever you had in mind. just empty the space into your garbage and wake up tomorrow in your new life with an empty closet.
