problem is KYC

regular system revolves around necessity for draconian KYC rules and trying to fit crypto into them is square peg/round hole exercise

so once you jump through the KYC hoops with crypto, there goes your "cost reduction"

yes from what I understand that only works as long as you trust governments to be reliable partners that act in good faith to give us reliable, consistent, and unbiased KYC rules

I don't, so I'm not optimistic
