Up until now, the vollyball club experience for [person] was "regional". Regional clubs are great for grounding experience, developing teamwork, fundamentals and some local exposure. They compete against locals. They stay local.
The next step up in some areas is "regional plus", which is all local but at least one "Travel" tournament, giving a little more exposure to competition in different areas.
Then we get to this club - The "National" clubs. They compete against top clubs in the country, including travel, uniforms, insurance, etc... giving maximum exposure to highly competitive events, including scouting and recruitment for potential college scholarships. It includes a more rigorous and serious training schedule, requires more from the athlete, and indicates a strong commitment to their improvement.
Ballpark is $5k, which is way out of the price range for [person]. 1 reply
