well, i've been building atlas in public for over a year and building a community is *not easy* 

it's easier to build a product, which is actually very difficult 

a few people have given me ideas on how @atlas can embrace the token and create a stronger community of long-term believers, s/o @ace and @acai 

the goal remains the same: make @atlas a powerful tool that helps you accelerate on farcaster

I think that allowing the market to market, focusing on building and recieving value from the former without compromising on the latter is an extremely powerful thing to do

my point is that the token doesn't actually need a direct, economic or governance role in relation to /atlas, if you wanted that you'd probably make one yourself 

but your work now will benefit from users around atlas, who are interested in speculating on AI. and you can just let that happen and build! 

theres a long way to go to test and prove out the thesis, but I love people being open to it

ofc, i think you guys created a great way to bootstrap concepts into the tokensphere 

@atlas was already a concept which is why i needed to grapple with whether and how to embrace this development, and i want to go w the flow 

tbh i don't think /atlas was built for subscriptions, and i wanted it to be a project that the farcaster community could rally around 

building utility around a token that i had to market buy (like everyone else) is not a bad way to do that
