WC token notifs might end up being counterproductive if market starts treating them as sell the news 🤔

not the notification but the way the market reacts to it -- most charts def eventually look like the above eventually due to "nature of the asset", but if social consensus is "sell the wc notification" then that ends up having a reflexive effect that makes it real

I think what kartik said probably helps tho, and better memes/assets should be resistant to this anyways, e.g. $DRB

these were like so new though that expression doesn't make sense to me in this context

this should self-correct itself -- market will realize not to buy a coin just cuz there's a notif about it, and it should ideally reach a healthy equilibrium where it mostly just functions as its intended purpose - a discovery mechanism to learn about coins your friends are buying

maybe "the news" is the wrong phrase but it's def the case that the coins dumped at least short term on the notif. happened just now w $horse also. not saying it's a WC problem but just the emergent behavior of the market reacting to the notifs

i do think it's fine long term and should self-correct itself soon enough
