very in line with the way I see this/ clanker team talks about coins - if a coin at all, then hopefully coin means something - successful memes are magic, hard to force that process - ownership is the most meaningful thing, its the ideal most coins should be working towards and its best when the thing that is owned can grow, change, develop, breath, live and die and isn’t so atomized and narrow - social should be open, mostly free, and geared towards interaction, connection, relationship. networks depend on all that way more than they do on speculating; even the best speculative experiences I’ve had have mostly been downstream of some network of people I care about fine line between a strong vision for the future and a forced conclusion, but this feels more like a force than a vision to me ll this discourse lately has been…pretty good

gives me faith that crypto can pull back from the edge, that there will be pressure on people (like clanker) building with coins to get it right, more right than we have it today. i like that

real. Base really missed the point of a post/cast being collected as a token. It's like NFTs all over again. They should just build instead of riding social norms.

Clanker makes more sense to me in this regard — you cast something and clank it. Or you see something casted and clank it. (eg $ghiblify) and maybe sometimes there’s more thought or it’s connected to a project but for that it seems best used as marketing. That’s why it’s obvious that Zora as a stand alone project doesn’t make sense but integrated into a social network/part of social graph has better chance for success (and clearly that’s coming). But there’s still the craziness of over speculation. Education is key here. (which is why — although I know you want more college students clanking—they need to understand it all first).

ngl I’m still trying to figure out where “meaningful ownership” ends and narrative gymnastics begin. But this gave me a new lens, fr
