Zoracoins might make more sense on Solana as an alternative to pumpfun Both distill an onchain asset down to its simplest, most composable and interoperable form: a fungible coin They have different approaches on mechanism design and style/culture Food for thought đ

not differentiated enough at the market level imo build coins that work for content! at least thats how I'd do it zora has tons of good vibes for that, has cultivated hardcore collectors. shloms had a good thread about this today, don't think a pump style launch model + rewards works for content at scale.

What's not differentiated enough at the market level? Not sure I follow I'm saying that it would be interesting to have the Zoracoin platform on Solana as an alternative to the pumpfun platform Will check Shloms thread now. More context in this thread with six https://warpcast.com/garrett/0xec6dbdec

the actual token mechanics are too similar to pump is my point, a content coin should be meaningfully different if they aren't meant to be traded like pump coins otherwise the pnd effect will be consistent its just something I'm thinking about a lot in general: different pools + tokens for different types of project, meme, content, w/e

"They have different approaches on mechanism design and style/culture" the latter is true, which is why I think zora can be a great venue for content & creators, but not the former. mechanism design is pretty similar to the basic launchpad/pump model. at least from my view as relates to clanker we're differentiating between different tools for different jobs, and I'd like to see a "content coin" model a lot of what shloms describes here (among other stuff, but I'll make that case with product, not posts) https://x.com/SHL0MS/status/1894164056375795927

Should they be different in their token format though? I think itâs really interesting that theyâre both ERC20s and the market can trade them in a similar fashion. A penny stock and Apple are very different but theyâre both tradebale stocks The launch mechanics are different bc thereâs no bonding curve and the fee structure is different in regards to creators. Clanker and Zora are much more similar in terms of mechanics
