none of the loud pontificating about all this has been about disrespecting anyone. i have been here and watched how this stuff goes long enough to recognize what i am seeing that the farcaster establishment continues to refuse to recognize and i hope to god there is still a chance. the founder will not acknowledge it, but this is literally the effect of moves like the power badge implementation and now moxie. and it bums me out bigtime to see, and is a pattern i have been seeing for many months being a vigorous user of this app exploring all the interesting things going on. wake the fuck up; pls and thank you this is not rocket science type shit.

don't know who is to *blame* for this but imo @deployer was one of the first devs who really dove in and tested the limits on what programmable social can mean in the context of token distribution degen was massive, and ham was on the cutting edge the aesthetic never appealed to farcaster OG crowd, and it always felt like two different worlds I'm not sure what could change to make this different, but I appreciate /lp for testing waters when people were still nervous to jump in

well put. there seems to be two competing ideologies here. one envisions a world where fine art, music, concert tickets, and your morning coffee are all on chain. the other includes internet culture, memes, degen, and gambling. internet culture/trading/memes is deeply and will always be deeply engrained within crypto. how can we converge these two ideologies together. speculation, memes, internet culture, etc will always be a part of crypto. that's cryptos consumer product at the moment, not on chain concert tickets. in order to build those other experiences in meaningful ways you need to have a grasp on both ideologies.
