Got great founder advice from both my mother and my sister this week Specifics aside, one note I took from the convos was how hard it was for me to explain, and for them to understand even the basics of what was actually going on. One of the constant refrains about crypto is that we do not solve anyone’s problems, and I’ve felt that before (self critically, or about other projects). At a family event recently my aunt said something to the effect of “Alex’s work involves helping people succeed.” I was slightly confused, from my perspective I’m the cofounder of a highly profitable company. I asked her what made her say that and she described a chat we had at Christmas where I explained some of what my day to day work entailed, how I work with users and teams building on our product. It was a funny moment, made me appreciate how someone on the outside sees it - for good, or bad. Lot of value in stepping back and seeing it different.

She is wise. The glue that keeps clanker going imo is that the incentives of the people who launch the coins and the distribution network are aligned. There is no scenario where the company succeeds without the user also succeeding.
