I’ve been playing with Modal.com for the past few days, and the abstractions they provide (run functions in containers defined by code) feel like a paradigm shift. Feels like the first time I used Netlify after manually deploying websites on Ubuntu and Nginx.

Good site! It's a good benchmark to compare what I'm working on, Code, then Run, everything is taken care of.

Cool, is the kind of like Algolia’s new vector search offering?

I'm currently upgrading the UI right now to be more intuitive and easier to use, the current one I consider currently a prototype.

It incorporates vector search also, the user can create an app and every app is deployed to its own container with Redis included where embeddings are stored. Included in the deployment are other plugins that allows for generative ai processes. I can extend the plugins all sorts of functionalities also.
