In praise of the eye and seeing

✒️Often referred to as the window to the soul, the eye serves as a deep symbol in the realm of philosophy.  The eye is not merely an organ of vision, but the embodiment of the complex interplay between seeing and being seen. 
Through the act of looking, we engage with the world and interpret and internalize the myriad stimuli that shape our perceptions and experiences.  Eye gaze can reflect introspection, curiosity, judgment, and empathy, each of which reveals layers of our consciousness. 
How we see ourselves and others defines our reality and affects our interactions.  Care is the human desire to refine and present our perceptions, recognizing that how we see the world is as important as the world itself.  Thus, the act of looking becomes a philosophical inquiry into the nature of existence and our place within it.
