I feel like the left has a branding problem. It's wild how many "leftist" ideals you could very easily get most working class red voters to agree with, yet they still consider "the left" to be demonic. Are there any explorations on how to effectively overcome this branding chasm in reality vs. perception?

the issue isn't the ones that others would agree with... its the actually demonic things like "unrealized capital gains tax" and "anti crypto army". if you 1) acknowledge that capitalism is the best proven way in history to get people out of poverty and improve lives and 2) believe crypto is essential for individual liberty in modern world.... those two things are impossible to come to terms with.

I dont see either of those as being "left" ideals. They're misguided attempts by the democratic party to secure their own populist votes, but they'll lead nowhere. Even the fact that ppl think the democratic party's agenda is "left" is part of the bad branding I'm talking about.

fair enough. left + right, rep and dem. all bad labels. need a "pro-tech, pro-crypto (individual freedom), pro-young, pro-capitalism" party... thats all i want.
