Pro tip for GitHub Actions: Add these concurrency rules so that only the most recent commit is executed in CI at any given time. If a new run is triggered for the same workflow and branch/tag, any currently running workflow in that group will be canceled.

I’m confused, doesn’t github already cancel workflows when you push a new commit to a branch?

It doesn't. The previous commit will keep running.
