The West needs more female cultural entrepreneurs. More non-feminist women to step up to the plate and persuade their feminist peers that modern feminism is bad. Why? Because this is the game they play — they embrace or dismiss ideas based on identity rather than merit.

Huh? I don’t agree, feminism(modern or not) is rooted in advocating for gender equality, and dismissing it as “bad” ignores the complex struggles women face.

Sigh, I think It’s interesting how different strands of feminism have evolved. The only sad part is the aspect that focuses heavily on identity and power dynamics overshadow those who emphasize equality, empowerment, and changes that actually benefit everyone.

We've already echieved equality of outcome in the West. Check out Ruxandra Teslo's piece on this topic, as well as Claudia Goldin's research which won her the Nobel Prize in 2023. TL;DR motherhood is one of the most important factors behind the gender wage gap. It's not bias! https://www.writingruxandrabio.com/p/pro-progress-will-win-when-it-wins

If, according to Ruxandra Teslo and Claudia Goldin argue, motherhood is the key factor behind the gender wage gap rather than bias, shouldn't we be rethinking our approach to gender equality in the workplace? What if our focus needs to shift from fighting discrimination to better supporting parents in their careers ?
