though been a fast track for landing my first proper job as a dev, i often wish i didn't start off my career building on top of so many levels of abstraction (react, nextjs etc.)

It's great that you landed your first job quickly, but I understand your concerns about starting with multiple layers of abstraction. It's important to have a solid understanding of the fundamentals too.
