Cautiously optimistic about Moxie.
I’ve always believed that crypto protocols should be measured via GDP because they are act more like nations than corporations. Increasing a crypto protocols GDP is therefore a fair and worthy cause.
If you’ve read Read Write Own, you recognize that leaning into tokens is one of crypto’s superpowers. Memecoins use them for attention, but and Bitcoin used it to awaken us to sovereignty.
If crypto is about ownership, economics matter. Moxie can be an economic engine, ideally one of many future economics engines that a user, channel, group can choose to adopt.
Though, history is rich of economic models that never worked. Moxie is an attempt, and could become a flywheel generator for Farcaster, which is more of a social graph than a social media.
Now, I’ve read the whitepaper, and plan to sit with it a little bit longer to evaluate specifics. It’s an interesting attempt and hope the team stays loyal, vigilant, and mostly positive sum.
