Hot take: The UI/UX of Ethereum needs serious work if we're to onboard the masses. Solana's rapid growth post-SBF convicition should be a wake up call.

Why do you think that Solana is ready to onboard masses? I have been digging into Solana ecosystem lately and I must say without fee model, its less reliable than EVMs. During peak traffic, not all transactions get included and absence of mempool makes it worse.

With respect to what though? Take a layer 2 like Arbitrum that is extremely cheap and fast or Polygon or Base (Solana is also extremely fast and cheap). You can bridge to each directly from coinbase for free (Solana is not free to bridge). Rabby wallet has great UX (Phantom wallet has great UX). Whats missing?

How is this a hot take. This has been the take FOREVER. Fuck when building Augur 1 that was our take... That's part of why we failed too.

using solana, I don't see how solana ux is more ready for onboarding the masses. I also have a friend that is bulding one of the major protocols on solana and he didnt even understand what I want when I was asking him if solana has any wallets without seedphrases or smart wallets.

The only difference between arbitrum or zksync and Solana is fees, that’s it. Nobody forces you to bridge and most L2s have fiat or CEX on-ramps. Rabby wallet is way better than phantom wallet
