ENS and SOL domains are fun but I never really thought they had any great utility. Easier to remember, but it’s not like you pay Verizon💰each year to keep contacts in your phone or even remember each contact name correctly. What am I missing?

You don’t pay your software wallet money to keep an address book either and I am not sure what that’s got to do with ens? ENS is just a human readable format for long address names and just like a parking spot in the middle of a cbd, it’s something people will try squat so the cost stops that

Right, I mean the human readable format isn't incredibly useful because you can keep an address book in your wallet anyway. That's what I was trying to say.

You can change the underlying address your consistent ens points to as a public facing text address. It also makes it very easy to share for the first time or to advertise

Got it. I didn't consider that you can change the address it points to.
