While Ethereum is striving to be a decentralized and permissionless protocol and farcaster is striving to be a decentralized and permissionless social network built on Ethereum, only about 600 people are allowed to post in the Ethereum channel here and the rest have to beg permission from moderators. This seems wrong to me and I have therefore created The Ethereum Public Square where anyone is free to post about Ethereum. Enjoy the infinite garden!

i am a fan, but token gated feature sets does not allow for virality/run away success my big recommendation for clank would be to just copy 1:1 pump but do it for base

@li predicted meme coins as a GTM a year ago, which inspired my project with toekn.com trump launching his meme coin officially opened the window to anyone launching their own token, including startups today, jellyjelly (a real startup with @lessin involved) launched their app together with a pump.fun. sent to 200M MCAP in a few hours now @jesse, @joshelman, @rrhoover and more are lining up on clout.me and are all set to have their own meme coins in the near term the gamble for startups using coins as GTM is that the user value/value of the community will be higher than the frustration from all the losers that bought their tokens and that are now in the red the nihilist would argue that all companies (and thereby equity value) dies in a long enough time span, why not speed run the entire experience? when u launch ur meme coin @li please let me know so that I can ape (toekn.com still to this day get 20k monthly visitors - many learnings here happy to share)

I just came back after leaving because of all the spam Combining 1. A town hall of novel ideas and 2. A casino/ponzi scheme marketplace definitely complicates the curation problem I’m happy the vibes are better now
