Last week I was mad at my dad because he asked me to help clean the tile pavers from the grout he sent. New cost a lot more than used, so there weren't many options. I was annoyed because the physical work at the cottage seems like it will be endless. When I was a teenager, we did a lot on another summerhouse, but then it was sold. Dad said it was still for us and no one would sell the house. But unforeseen family circumstances forced us to sell the house and move to another city. So I always feel like I'm wasting my time when I help with something like this in a new house. And here I was, cleaning tile, and suddenly realized simple ideas. That if you pile them one on top of the other, there will come a point sooner or later when the lowest one can't support the weight of the structure it's holding above it. And so it would crack, crumble into dust, and not allow the skyscraper to be built to space.
