my belief is the current malaise is a product of living in a degen dominant culture. this is what it feels like to place financial nihilism front and centre. it's suspicious, catty and kind of stagnant.

I think it’s simply that we need more transaction throughput and social scalability to unlock more use cases and we are still effectively stuck in the DeFi, alternative toy economy meta

tbh I was hoping the degens would end up funding interesting cryptography experiments in this space but that's not really happening.

It's also because crypto has not yet meaningfully entered the media space.
