It's all experimental but as we've seen a token used as a reward for positive social contributions works incredibly well. Layer on the fun aspect and you have something there.

We’ve been working on an experiment with Smiley.com to reward Smiles on-chain for actions that spread happiness. These smiles could then be redeemed for exclusive Smiley merch across brands. Try it πŸ™‚: https://app.acme.am/claim/238f4a1d-4be0-4920-a403-ec0d3ef9629a Need some help flushing out the tokenomics though.

We start with Daily Memes, Roast<Brand>, and Random Acts of Kindness. Brands sponsor these challenges by rewarding smiles to the top entries voted by the community, creating a sustainable smile-to-earn model

Debating 2 model so far: 1. Traditional: Brands mint SMILE at say 0.013 USDC, burn at say 0.008 USDC. More stability across brands, providing simplified redemption 2. Volatile: Fixed supply of SMILE, brands buy and redeem at market rates (similar to Blackbird). More speculation, but complex redemption.

Also intrigued by @variant’s model on Progressive Ownership, could be a good balance between the 2: https://variant.fund/articles/progressive-ownership-model-application-tokens/
