It’s just another tool. As long as you’re being transparent about it I think it’s fine. Honestly would be kind of cool to include the model checksum, seed, and prompt in the metadata.

How about if you made a collage of other peoples work in photoshop? 

Why not be transparent? If it feels dirty to hide it, probably best not to.

These are new grounds. The models only exist due to these artists sharing their work. And when they did share, this wasn’t a thing. They didn’t consent.
