On May 23, 2024, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the 19b-4 forms submitted by several issuers for use in spot Ethereum ETFs, indicating significant progress in listing these products on US exchanges. Just a few days ago, SEC approval seemed unlikely; A week ago, the decentralized prediction platform Polymarket estimated that the likelihood of approval was only about 10%.
