With candidates often viewing tech tasks as unpaid labour, it’s no surprise more companies are now paying for interview tasks. We've seen rates vary, from small gift cards to $1500 for longer assignments, depending on complexity. Could paid tasks be the future of hiring, or is it just a short-term trend?

More and more companies do this and I think it's only fair. Either that, or drop tasks altogether.

It feels more like an equal exchange, vs a very value draining that is only one sided. I really hope this becomes the norm.
