Bear with me while I ask a stoopid question, what does ID stand for?

It actually comes from playing unreleased music on the radio. We had to submit playlists - so anything we didn't want people knowing what it was would usually go on the playlist as ID - ID. As this was the default setting on the Myriad system for radio broadcasting if it was left blank.

Sometimes you'd replace it with "untitled" or "dubplate" if the song hadn't yet been named. 

Recently the internet has been running with it though and ID just means unreleased / unknown track to the masses now.

In this case though I think it's referring to a track you recently identified from somebody's set (by shazam usually!)
