What is @33bits? (Source: Their website 33bits.xyz/faq) 33bits is an experiment in using privacy as a tool to provoke conversations and uncover truths. ZK prove that your Farcaster FID is β€20001 and cast on @33bits feed without disclosing your account. - Who can post on 33bits? Eligibility for posting on 33bits is exclusive to Farcaster accounts with FID β€ 20001. - Why does it take time to cast? Generating and verifying zk proofs is a complex task. It demands complex computations and significant memory usage. For more technical details, please refer to our Github repo. (https://github.com/33bits-xyz)

- How does it work? When a user signs in with Warpcast, the 33bits app links their FID with a new signer. To post a cast, the user must prove that their FID is β€ 20001 through zero-knowledge (zk) proofs. This proof is generated using the user's new signer. The entire process, including authentication and proof generation, occurs in the user's browser, keeping their FID private. Once the proof is created, it's verified on the app's backend. If the proof is valid, the user's cast is sent through the API to the @33bits account and published on the feed anonymously. For more tech details, please refer to the Github. - What is proof verification? Every cast on the @33bits feed is paired with a zero-knowledge (zk) proof. Anyone can verify zk proofs to confirm that the cast was posted by an eligible author: they have a valid Farcaster account and their FID is β€ 20001. This verification process is seamlessly conducted directly in your browser.
