The founder of the decentralised cryptocurrency organisation Aave, Mark Zoeller, suggested that the Ethereum Foundation should be dissolved due to the sudden sale of cryptocurrency.
On 23 August, it became known that employees of the Ethereum Foundation, a non-profit institution dedicated to the development of the Ethereum blockchain (ETH) and related technologies, transferred 35,000 ETH worth $94 million at the exchange rate at the time of the transaction to the Kraken crypto exchange. Because of this, some traders got spooked by the dump and rushed to get rid of their coins, but there was no collapse of the digital asset's exchange rate.
The next day Ethereum Foundation director Aya Miyaguchi explained that Ethereum was transferred to Kraken in order to exchange the coins for fiat currency and pay the organisation's employees their salaries for the year, as well as to transfer grants.
