One of the reasons I love White Lotus is that I lived the life of Adventure Guide in an ultra high-end place. There you have one foot in the service industry but also access to the  accoutrements of the Good Life. Difference is everyone else leaves but your life just kind of plays out on repeat. Not a bad way to spend some years though. 

The Separation observed here is mostly true. With the jet setters even the neurotic gripers have breeziness about them. Service industry folks would usually be able to guess in an instant by body language alone if you were say, a Black Amex type of customer.
