We’re so NGMI. I’m at a friend’s place—he’s a total newbie to crypto,he works in the art finance market.
A few years ago, I convinced him to invest in some crypto: ETH and a bit of Thorchain. Fast forward to yesterday: we’re watching the surreal theater of this simulation we call reality, with Trump as the headliner. Out of nowhere, he says, “Let’s buy some $Melania, just for the meme!”
He’s ready to throw $40 worth of ETH into SOL but gets hit with $40 in gas fees ( lol ). So, he tries swapping his Thorchain Runes for SOL instead. Nope. Solana’s clogged. Determined, we opens a Mexc account, sends his Runes… and they vanish.
Two hours of digging later, we figure it out: Mexc wasn’t displaying the funds because of a KYC block. Seriously? This is the current state of crypto onboarding? A complete circus.
i hope /Base and /artcoin will fix it,
what hope do we have for mass adoption?
