Farcaster Social Update. I've been going back & forth with the dao & pitching ideas since Prop 208. I've been looking for feedback to help me grow Nouns in South Africa and I haven't found a pmf that is viable outside of currently funded categories. I've pitched what I can for now & tried to portray best as possible how I see building on Nouns native can work for me & in my country profitably. I'll be putting a final Whisky Propdate through in the coming weeks showcasing what the future for Nouns in South Africa looks like & my research within Nouns for the last 3/4 years. I will also explain why I haven't found pmf. All of my experiences & processes (good or bad) might be of interest to other builders in the IRL & product spaces. Regarding Flows: I've asked @rocketman to close my Flows account and allocate it to more gardeners. Love this crazy lifestyle ⌐◨-◨ too much, but I need to touch grass, see more of my beautiful wife as I owe it to her & focus on my studio agency in Cape Town. CC0 FOREVER.

I can respect this reply, and fully agreed. Including myself a lot of creatives are struggling to find PMF. I think what most of us builders are wondering (that are situated below this type of project funding & reach): how can we tap into the vast digital mindshare you've built? And the simplest answer is helping us to promote Nouns.World and Flows.wtf through a cool story animation in some shape or form. This atleast gets new eyeballs on great functioning social sites that are there to benefit everyone? Should that be a thing? It worries me that we've all been here for 3 or more years and no one is talking about large scale co-branding.

Again, what am I missing here? The role was a $100 000 prop? For the first time since I joined all of this, I don't know what is happening, I speak for others as well. I also think there should have been 2 roles regardless of price, salary, remuneration etc.

There's no pointing fingers, no arguments, no statements. Truly trying to understand how this way of thinking makes us function better or worse, how the thoughts are measured. I honestly don't understand what we're all doing here strategically Wylin. The bigger picture thinking is making everyone feel weird guys. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

Idk Bix, Atrium as a great design studio using Nouns CCO assets has been funded over $1m to work on Nouns related stuff... Essentially Nouns.Camp is the official dashboard for new business in the ecosystem and if you send someone notable there, they do think it is chaotic and it is hard for them to make heads from tails. It is what it is... If I understood correctly you wanted a Duna admin position and rightfully so, and you have been vocal about the selection process. Is this not a form of expecting Nouns to do something for you?

Yeah idk man, I'm zooming out here and looking at 3/4 years of funding great things, silly things, weird things and if the people want to keep Nouns a 'non-traditional' entity then everyone should be ok with the treasury running to zero imo.

I would have so much more respect for the powers that be, that buckle down and make advertising spend happen on a global scale. Otherwise frankly, what are you as a block voter doing here? You're blocking great people from moving forward in the ecosystem. If traditional marketing is not taken seriously and Nouns gets run to zero then we all deserve it. At least that is where it seems we're heading as no one has a solid plan.

Because that is how traditional brand building and management is executed on a global scale. Teams have kpi's & goals every 12 months and their aim is to get the best teams, players, artists, musicians etc etc on board to represent their brands and be ambassadors, but this comes at a price. All of these defeated props have turned valuable people away that know how to execute. If voters can't see this, then what are we all doing here? Seriously.

What I'm taking from what Joshua is pointing at here, is that to really scale this thing and keep good people onboard that are not interested in governance or the tech necessarily, those are the people that can really impact further discussions in the Web2 space. Nouns keeps on focusing on Web3 stuff. There are a lot of contributors here that have valuable connections but you can't put yourself and career on the line for Nouns if your reputation could suffer. Pitching is the most arduous process and all of the legacy brand managers that I've spoken to here in South Africa, just look at me and say: awesome stuff, but this looks like chaos, honestly I don't have time for this as the global teams need my kpi's executed or my job is on the line. It is a weird situation to be in with millions of dollars in the warchest...

Unpopular opinion. Flows.wtf & @rocketman needs at minimum an additional $500 000 for operations, bigger core team & more Flows members. Additionally 50 x Nouns to gift to consistent builders and let them help govern. The beta testing is over, throw fuel on the camp bonfire. 🌏 🌍 🌎 💻 This is how my backend looks. Showcasing other projects is great.
